Long time, no blog...

Howdy all! Well, it has been quite a while since I've been on here updating you all. We've been really busy. The news most fitting for the blog is that we decided to take this month off from the fertility grind. We figured we needed some sanity, and this is a stressful and busy month for us. Given all that, we figured my uterus would be on strike, so we might as well not waste our time (not to mention the pricey vial of frozen pop). :-)

I must say, it has been nice not living at the doctor's office, struggling through the hormones without turning into the spinning head chick from Exorcist, and counting the days until the next "pee on a stick" morning.

I was talking to a friend at work who went through the fertility rollercoaster years ago - and she made a very true statement..."don't you find that the months no longer have 30 days? It isn't the 12th of July, it is day number 9 of my cycle". I found that to be soooo true.

So, for one month at least, it is the 11th of August. I have no idea what day of my cycle it is, nor do I care. We are a bit sad about skipping a month, but I have to say...it is liberating.

On a side note - to combat the only remaining fertility inhibitor that I have any control over, I'm signing myself up for therapy and kick boxing. I'm not sure which one will be more successful at reducing my stress - but my money is on the kick boxing. :-)
